Reconstructed vessels catalog

The incised motif is PK108, a series of triangular spaces filled in with slanting incised lines. Although recorded as a separate vessel due to minor variations in the design, this is very likely from the same vessel as ECA-V-105, based on similarities of paste, carination angle, and carination diameter.

This large, well-fired jar with strongly everted rim was probably carinated (based on other vessels of this type), although the carination is missing. The everted lip is decorated with a simple incised motif (PK183). On the exterior, the upper 2.1 cm is plain, below which there is an open, incised design with curvilinear chevrons and a fragment of another motif (TFG1849). The incising appears to have been done very quickly, without any regard for equal spacing between lines.

These two sherds are rim bases from a well-fired flat bottom dish. The remaining exterior decoration consists of motif PK91, with zone marker RZ4D-3-2 running along the rim base.

This is the carinated portion only of a large carinated jar with coarsely executed incising above the carination. The decoration retains only a fragment of an upper incised motif (TFG1850); below this is motif PK185 consisting of alternating triangles with slanting lines filling in the triangular spaces (PK185 is similar in this respect to PK180). The triangles are interrupted at one point by a raised, appliqué nubbin. Vessel ECA-V-141 is quite likely a fragment from this same carinated jar.

This is the everted rim and partial neck of a large, well-fired jar. The flat lip has been decorated by shallow notching along both the inner and outer edges with a V-shaped tool. Otherwise the vessel is entirely plain. This was merged with ECA-V-142

The interior of this unrestricted bowl is undecorated, while the inner edge of the lip has zone marker RZ4D-3R-1. On the exterior there is again the same zone marker, with the main motif being PK221, a variant of the “dumbbell” design, in this case quite open and executed with coarse dentate stamps.

This thick-walled, well-fired bowl has a distinctive notched lip, possibly designed to fit a lid to it. The upper edge of the lip is decorated with stamped lozenges (motif GS33) while the side of the notch has motif GS506 of slanting dentate-stamped lines. The lower edge of the notched lip has small depressions probably made with a fingernail (RG58). Below this is zone marker RZ4D-5R-1 followed by the main motif (PK477), a variant of the zigzag design. The lower boundary of PK477 is defined by zone marker RZ4D-4-1.

This consists of the carination and a portion of the upper body of a large, very intricately decorated jar, with elaborate dentate stamped motifs above the carination. What is extant of the decoration begins with motif CS55-3, followed by a broad zone marker RZ4D-7-2. Below this is motif GS361, a horizontal series of stamped boxes, followed by zone marker RZ4D-4-2. The next horizontal band consists of motif A329, which are probably stylized oval shaped eyes. Below this is zone marker RZ4D-4R-2, and finally motif GS632, sets of slightly slanting dentate lines, ends at the carination.

These two sherds are fragments of a thick-walled cylinder stand with two horizontal raised bands. The upper space between the two raised bands is defined by zone markers RZ4D-3R-2, but is otherwise blank. Below the lower raised band is another zone marker. At least three main motifs were present in this lower space

This is the carinated body portion only of a carinated jar with coarse dentate stamped decoration above the carination. Only a small fragment of the decoration remains, with motif A235 (stamped diamonds) defined by zone marker RZ4D-2R-1 above and the carination angle below.
