Reconstructed vessels catalog

A small, flat-bottomed dish with pronounced lip notching (RG59) and a series of small circular stamps (A1) along the inner edge of the lip. The main motif is a zigzag (PK62) defined on the top by RZ4D-4R-2 zone marker, and below by a RZ4D-3-2 zone marker. The base is also notched along the edge with triangular cutouts (PK128).

Most likely this everted rim belonged to a flat-bottomed dish, although a carinated bowl cannot be ruled out, as the base is missing. The lip has a band of RZ4D zone marker as well as raised nubbin (PK129). The main motif (PK63), situated below a row of M2-1-1 and a RZ4D-3R-2 zone marker, was made with quite fine dentate-stamping, although the execution was a bit sloppy. There is also a fragment of motif TFG2317, which may have been part of a face motif.

Three non-matching sherds of a flat-bottomed dish. The lip has shallow notches (PK243) and a row of dentate stamped circles (A417). Below a RZ4D-3-2 zone marker,the main motifs combined a large raised nubbin (PK327) with a zigzag (PK64). The base of the dish is defined with PK128 cutouts.

A small, flat-bottomed dish similar in some respects to ECA-V-001. The lip has motifs PK243 and A417. Below a RZ4D-4R-2 zone marker, the main motif is a zigzag (PK64). The edge of the base is notched with motif PK472.

This very elaborately decorated flat-bottomed dish was found lying upside down during the Area B excavation in 1985 (see Fig. 3.7). The main motif, defined top and bottom by RZ6D-4 zone markers, consists of a PK102 “medallion” flanked to the left by motif PK473 and to the right by motif PK474. Mofif PK473 is executed in very fine dentate stamping, while PK474 is executed with very fine incising. Below the RZ6D-4 zone marker, the base edge is decorated with a row of dentate circles (A417) and below that SC1151. The inner edge of the lip is similarly decorated with A417 and SC1151 motifs.

This flat-bottom dish with outcurved rim has a well burnished interior without any decoration. The lip has alternating carved triangular notches (PK131) and a row of stamped circles (A417). On the exterior, the decoration begins with motif A1 followed by an RZ4D-4R-2 zone marker. Below this the main motif is a zigzag design PK67 with dentate-stamped diamonds each containing a stamped circle along the bottom of the design. Along the base of the rim there is a RZ4D-4-2 zone marker and a row of alternating carved triangular notches with dentate stamping between the notches (motif PK238). The dentate stamping on this vessel is very well executed, displaying considerable skill.

This well-made large bowl may have originally been supported on a pedestal. The interior is undecorated, while the lip has a row of stamped circles (motif A417) along the inner edge and motif PK475 consisting of cutouts and dentate stamped semicircles along the outer edge (PK475 may be a simplified variant of the “twin long-beaked bird” design). On the exterior the decoration begins with motif A1, below which is zone marker RZ4D-5R-2, and then after a slight gap the main motif is PK68, a variant of the zigzag design family.

This flat bottom dish is not decorated on the interior; the lip has a row of stamped circles (motif A417). On the exterior, the decoration begins with zone marker RZ4D-2R-1, below which is the main motif PK69, a zigzag motif interrupted periodically by raised appliqué nubbins surrounded by zone marking. Below the main motif is zone marker RZ4D-3R-1.

A well made flat-bottom dish. The lip is decorated with a line of stamped circles (A417); there is no decoration on the vessel interior. On the exterior, decoration begins with motif M2-1-1, below which is a RZ4D-4-1 zone marker, followed by the main motif (PK103) which is a sort of “botanical” design, possibly signifying a plant or shrub.

This rim from a quite large flat bottom dish is undecorated on the interior, while the lip has zone marker RZ4D-3-2 running along it. On the exterior, the decoration begins with motif M2-1-1, followed by zone marker RZ4D-3R-2. The main motif, PK104, consists of raised, appliqué nubbins encircled by concentric zone marking and stamped circles.
