Comments

This flat-bottom dish with outcurved rim has a well burnished interior without any decoration. The lip has alternating carved triangular notches (PK131) and a row of stamped circles (A417). On the exterior, the decoration begins with motif A1 followed by an RZ4D-4R-2 zone marker. Below this the main motif is a zigzag design PK67 with dentate-stamped diamonds each containing a stamped circle along the bottom of the design. Along the base of the rim there is a RZ4D-4-2 zone marker and a row of alternating carved triangular notches with dentate stamping between the notches (motif PK238). The dentate stamping on this vessel is very well executed, displaying considerable skill.
