This is the neck and rim of a restricted jar that was probably carinated (vessel type IIB), although this cannot be determined for certain. The rim turns out abruptly at a 90 degree angle from the neck, and the surface of the outturned rim is decorated on the inside with zone marker RZ4D-3-2 and on the outside edge with motif PK535. On the exterior, the decoration begin with zone marker RZ4D-4R-1, continues with motif PK536, an interlocking series of stamped diamonds with stamped circles, then another zone marker RZ4D-5R-2, and finally the main motif (PK537), a variant of the “dumbbell” design family.
