Comments

These sherds, which do not all match but clearly come from the same pedestal base, have unfortunately been eroded, obscuring somewhat the complex design. The main design involved circular, lime-filled carved grooves mixed with curvilinear zone marking and fine dentate stamping. The motif (recorded as TFG3754 and TFG3755) is similar in many respects to that seen on vessel ECA-V-015, and might also have represented the long-beaked bird. Below the main motif there are two rows of zone marker RZ4D-4-2, and below this the base of the pedestal is decorated with motif PK51, alternating triangular cutouts with intervening stamped lines.
