Comments

This is the neck and rim of a thin-walled, well-fired jar. The lip has parallel grooves along the inside made by impressing, probably with a small stick, while the lip edge has been notched, probably by pinching with the fingers. Beginning about 3.3 cm below the lip, the neck has been decorated by rocking back and forth with the naturally serrated edge of a shell such as Anadara.
