This is the lip and rim only of a relatively small, well-made and thin-walled flat bottom dish. The lip is unusual in having a raised, appliqué nubbin. The lip, including the nubbin, is decorated with motif PK256, consisting of dentate stamped lines and small stamped circles. On the exterior, the decoration begins with motif A1. Below this there were evidently at least two main motifs, defined above by zone marker RZ4D-2R-2 and separated by vertical zone marker RZ4D-2RV-2. To the left is a fragment of motif PK257, while to the right is only a small remnant of a curvilinear motif, TFG1427.
