This delicate, thin-walled jar with everted rim has a simple incised motif (TFG3665) on the inner edge of the rim, consisting of slanted lines. The main motif is only incompletely represented (TFG3540), but enough remains to indicate that this simple incised design represents a highly simplified, stylized face with the eyes indicated by open circles, and with upraised arm-like extensions to either side of the face. Portions of two such faces are present, and presumably the faces continued around the rim. This seems to be a highly simplified, incised version of the classic anthropomorphic face motif seen, for example, in vessel ECA-V-045.
