Comments

This large carinated jar is similar in many respects (including motifs) to ECA-V-115/-178, but the motifs are much smaller and this clearly is a separate vessels, albeit likely made by the same potter. Only a small portion of the decoration, which lies above the carination, is present. Below an open zone marker, this has a band of almond-shaped designs (motif A331), possibly representing highly stylized eyes. Zone marker RZ4D-2R-2 lies below this, and defines the upper side of motif PK293, which ends at the carination. PK293 may be a very simplified and highly stylized version of a face motif.
