Record details
This vessel is a bowl with flared sides, direct rim, round lip, and incurved base. The thickness of the walls is between 1 and 1.5 cm. Color and paste are within the Society Hall Red variety and the base diameter is 31 cm. There is a cross on the exterior base that spans the whole surface and, where the base meets the wall of the vessel, there is a circumferential band in the same color of the cross and the interior of the vessel.
Construction Phases 9 & 10: Excavation in progress of Burial 1-2 (left) by Lorren Jackson. On the right, the circular shape of Zone 15 (Burial 1-1) can be seen as well as inverted Vessel No. 021 that capped the primary, seated interment (Burial 1-1a).
